Individual Service Funds - Mental Health Services

Project aims

Norfolk County Council wanted to trial the use of Individual Service Funds (ISFs) with a provider of services to people with mental health issues, as part of a project to understand and evaluate their effectiveness.

Project description and outcomes

Self Directed Futures worked with Norfolk County Council (NCC) to design a project plan to enable ISFs to be offered to a group of people who are supported by Together for Mental Wellbeing. 

This involved engaging key stakeholders, establishing new contracts, disaggregating elements of an existing block contract, developing new payment and contribution business processes, engaging and then providing training to the provider market, developing an outcomes measurement approach and providing ongoing advice and support to NCC and TFMW during this successful 24 month project.
