Wendy Chituri
Wendy is an experienced Health and Social Care expert with over 21 years of work experience within the Health and Social care sector. She started her career as a care worker and became a Qualified Social Worker and a CQC Registered Manager for nearly 4years. She worked with various local authorities, with the last post within a Local Authority, where she worked as a Review Social worker across the West of Hertfordshire County Council Adult Disability Team. Subsequently, she became registered as a CQC Registered Manager within a private care organisation.
Wendy is the Manging Director at Troika Consultancy Ltd, a leading Individual Service Fund (ISF) provider in Hertfordshire. Troika Consultancy was established whilst working as a Locum Social Worker and recognising the need for citizens to have the flexibility of choosing their own support network and self-directing their own support. Having a passion to provide support to citizens with various needs, it was apparent that there was need for professionals to understand the true meaning of self-directed support, which supports citizens to remain in control of their lives.
Recognising the need for professionals who understand the entire process, Wendy offered to pilot ISF within a county that she had knowledge of, promoted learning by facilitating presentations about ISF to social work teams and small support enterprises. Using this special purpose vehicle, Wendy began to support citizens to make their own choice starting from their provider, then leading up to how the citizen chose to be supported. She also supported companies to join the small providers enterprise directory working in partnership with the lead of Community Enterprise Catalyst CEC (Hertfordshire) and in turn supports CECs to understand the use of ISFs. This includes supporting citizens to create their own support plans and have service providers who offer flexibility and creativity within their support. To her credit, Wendy has been leading on implementing ISFs within Hertfordshire small enterprises and has continued to see the positive impact this has on citizens, their families and professionals.
Wendy has recently joined the Self-Directed Future team. She is a registered social worker and ISF broker who is dedicated to helping people with managing bespoke support arrangements and supporting providers to support and promote citizens to self-direct their support.
